Friends on a food crawl who end up at a beer garden

We went up to Milwaukee this past weekend to see friends and family. It being Paul's home town you'd think we'd seen it all, but each time I'm amazed at new and fun events the city has to offer. Our hosts Melissa & Jeff took us on Walker Points Food Crawl. It was in a historic part of town, set at our own pace to a bunch of different restaurants, creameries and ice cream shops. Tasting multiple dishes and taking home a bag of fresh cheese curds? yes please. The chocolatier that paired wine tastings was one of my favorites.

Then in the late afternoon we packed a picnic and went to a local park on the Milwaukee River that has a Beer Garden. It was packed! It was a beautiful way to spend a summer afternoon that easily stretched into night when when catching up with old friends.
Thanks to the Gehls for having us and planning such a fun weekend!
